If you’re like me, you’ll have a tonne of photos from Christmas Day you want to add to your album, but the dilema is which ones to use + which to leave out?

It’s great to make use of all those snaps of little details in your layouts – it helps build up a picture of the ambience of the occasion. So, Question – how to use lots of photos in a LO, without looking overcrowded? Answer – Select about 16 or so interesting photos, print a contact sheet onto a good quality photo paper, then trim them all with a small white border [I love to trim mine so they look like mini polaroid photos].

You can see I’ve arranged the photos in a scattered fashion – I want it to look like a bunch of photos almost dropped on the page. Notice I’ve ‘contained’ them inside the smaller piece of the PP, so that there’s still quite a bit of ‘white space’ on the background where the eye can ‘rest’, despite the large number of photos on the page.

Here’s how I did it:

Hope this helps you get all those Christmas photos scrapped!

Pink Paislee’s Christmas range is right up my alley – vintagey + full of yummy not-so-traditional colours!  Our tree [see pics here] is very non-tradition, so this is perfect for me!!

When I saw this pp from BlueMoonScrapbooking.com, I knew I had to make my new favourite thing… paper baubles –

Thanks for stopping by, & I hope you’re inspired to have a go @ this easy-peasey project! ;]

Looking for a quick, personal, & delightful gift idea? Try one of my easy and versatile stitched notebooks/journals – you’ll be making stacks of them once you start!

If you’ve never stitched paper with your sewing machine before, this is the perfect way to start – no fuss & manageable!

The possibilities are endless, but here’s the materials I used for these 2 little sweeties –

& here are the tools I used, [or wish I had used! LOL!]:

Q – How to fit lots of photos + lots of gorgeous patterns into one simple, clean LO??
A – Grids!!

I cropped my photos to square ratios, then chose the print multiples, contact sheet option in the print dialogue box, & out came 5 perfect 2″ x 2″ square photos!

Here’s my video – enjoy! ;]

btw, I did some digi work on the photos prior to printing – a little square border + text. I was inspired by this great Cathy Zielski tutorial [watch it, you’ll love it!].
